Katie Dehority holds both a bachelor's degree in biology from Eastern Illinois University and an associate's degree in veterinary technology, which she earned at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, in 2009. In addition to her work at the Furnetic veterinary clinic, Katie is a member of many distinguished organizations, including the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), the Veterinary Technician Association of Illinois (VTAI) and the Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians (SVBT). While Katie has a broad love for animals, she is especially interested in animal behavior and becoming trained in disaster relief for animals.
In her free time Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, their two troublesome beagles and their cockatiel, Bonnie. She loves to be outside, travel, go to concerts, and play tennis. But above all, she loves the Chicago Cubs.
