A graduate of Purdue University, Kelsie Dolezal holds both an associate's degree and bachelor's degree in veterinary technology with a focus in animal behavior and wildlife research, and has been actively in the veterinary medicine field for ten years. Her veterinary externship and part of her practicum were completed in Alaska, working with the bear population. The other part of her practicum was spent working at the Animal Behavior Clinic in the Purdue Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She has also worked for private small animal veterinary practices and in research at the Rush University Comparative Research Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dolezal is a current member of the National Assoication of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), where she serves on the CVT Task Force Committee, the American Association for Laboratory Animal Sciences (AALAS), the Society for Veterinary Behavior Technicians (SVBT), and the Chicago Branch of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (CBAALAS), where she was the recipient of the 2008 Send-A-Tech to Nationals Award.
In her free time, Kelsie likes to play with her boxer, Pnut, and enjoy meals cooked by her husband chef. She also enjoys sewing, jewelry making, dancing, hiking and anything outdoors. She loves Chicago, but being from northern Indiana she also loves to escape the city and enjoy the open farmland.
