Rosemary J. LoGiudice, DVM, CCRT

Since graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, Dr. Rosemary LoGiudice has built a successful career that includes 20 years of private practice in the Joliet area, caring for horses, farm animals and llamas/alpacas, as well as cats and dogs. From there, she continued her distinguished career, providing the American Veterinary Medical Association with her unique brand of leadership and guidance for nearly eight years.

The opportunity to play a role in the development and operations of Furnetic and the Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine lured her back to clinical practice. It also provided the perfect opportunity to continue her education, becoming a certified canine rehabilitation therapist in 2009. Her passion for communicating with clients, providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care, and working with veterinary students is complemented by a constant pursuit to improve her skills and knowledge that make her a natural fit.

Dr. LoGiudice is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

During her lifetime, Dr. LoGiudice has received numerous honors and awards in veterinary medicine as well as sports. A past president of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. LoGiudice has received both the Merit Award and the Dr. Erwin Small Distinguished Alumni Award from the U of I College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2006, 2007, and 2008 she was the St. Charles Sportsmen's Club Women's Overall Shooting Champion and in 1994 she was named the Chicago Area 99's Pilot of the Year. She has also been named to Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of American Women.

An avid sportswoman, Dr. LoGiudice enjoys golf, dog agility and dock dog competitions, conservation education, fishing, as well as shooting sports and instruction. She is also an accomplished singer and guitar player and a licensed pilot with commercial, single-engine land, and instrument ratings. In addition to being a published co-author she is a proud pet owner who enjoys spending time with her dog, Otter, and cat, Smudge.
