Furnetic is natural outgrowth of a college that's committed to advancing animal care through teaching, research and public service. For more than 60 years, the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine has been training exceptional veterinarians, including many of those located in Chicago, with the skills, insights and expertise required to deliver the best in small animal care.
In order to better serve the pet care needs of state's most populous city, the college opened the Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine (CCVM) in 2009, expanding its mission to the greater Chicagoland area. The primary goal of the CCVM, which is staffed and run by skilled primary care veterinarians and specialists from the college, is to:
- Foster client, student and public education,
- Support exemplary and cutting edge advancements in veterinary medicine,
- And collaborate with area veterinarians, zoological programs, and medical professionals to benefit animal health.
