Furnetic, a primary care practice focused on healthcare for dogs and cats, is located at 2242 West Harrison, in the northwest corner of the Illinois Medical District (IMD). The new clinic, which is part of the University of Illinois Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine, is designed as a showcase for excellence in veterinary practice. Furnetic is a place where patients and their people are treated with caring, respect, professionalism, and the latest in veterinary knowledge. In addition to serving neighborhood pet owners, the new practice encourages IMD and UIC employees to use the clinic. On the day of an appointment, owners can drop their pet off in the morning and return to meet with the doctor and pick the pet up at the end of the work day. Curious pet owners are invited to meet the staff and see the new clinic for themselves at open house events on Friday, July 31 (2 to 7 pm) and Saturday, August 1 (9 am to 1 pm).
